About Smith Oversight

Four decades of construction experience working for the owner.

Smith Oversight is led by Clinton Smith, RSE, a Construction Project Manager and Senior Superintendent with more than 40 years of construction experience and over 25 years leading projects.

His background spans custom homes, site management, project coordination, quality control, environmental considerations and project completion. Smith Oversight brings that experience directly to owners who want a knowledgeable and independent advocate.

“No problems, only solutions.”

Common questions

Owner representation should make the project clearer—not more complicated.

Does Smith Oversight replace the builder or contractor?

No. Smith Oversight represents the owner and works alongside the existing project team. The builder remains responsible for carrying out the construction work.

Can you become involved after construction has started?

Yes. Smith Oversight can join during planning, active construction, project recovery or closeout, depending on what the owner needs.

Is this only for projects that are already in trouble?

No. Early involvement can help prevent problems. Project recovery is one service, but owner representation and oversight are equally valuable on well-planned new projects.

How is the level of involvement determined?

The scope is tailored after an initial discussion and assessment. Support may range from periodic advisory reviews to ongoing owner representation and site oversight.
